AMP Program Daily Schedule

  • Aide guided work of: Home-Based Activities   Eastern & Central time zones: Begin 75 minutes before Zoom 1. Home-Based activities for Mountain and Western time zones are after Zoom 12 or alternative activity.
    • Student helps to prep a meal and clean up after it. (20 minutes)
    • Student does/ helps with household chores. (20 minutes)
      • Aide emails list of chores by day to student's email.  Aide takes picture of student at least three times in week showing student doing household chores and emails to student's school email. Tasks to last at least 20 minutes.
    • Student gets work area ready for day. Gather things from Week's AMP box and place in work area. (10 minutes)
    • Student works on any work not completed from day before (20 minutes) OR
      • Mondays & Wednesdays: If finished,  student may create a structure/setting with blocks, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, Legos, etc. Aide takes a picture  of student and effort and emails it to student's school email.  Student cleans up and puts away blocks. 
      • Tuesdays & Thursdays: If finished, student may draw or color one or more pictures. Aide takes a picture  of student and effort and emails it to student's school email.  Student cleans up and puts away blocks.
      • Fridays: If finished, student choice.  Aide may reward student with no more than 20 minutes screen time.
    • Student moves to view monitor and with aide's help, logs onto Zoom Video session at 9:15 am Eastern Time. (5 minutes)
  • Meet with Homeroom Teacher on Progress, Updates or additional lesson(Zoom invitation for 20 minute session) OR
    • Aide guided work of: Read library or other book of  student's choice to them. (20 minute session)
  • Meet with Homeroom Teacher on Progress, Updates or additional lesson(Zoom invitation for 20 minute session) OR
    • Aide guided work of: Help student
      • draw a picture of the setting of the main part of the book. (20 minute session) OR
      • count at least 3 but no more than 5 different items and the number of times that item is found in the book and record it on a blank sheet of paper.
  • Meet with the Homeroom Teacher on Progress, Updates or additional lesson(Zoom invitation for 20 minute session) OR
    • Aide Guided Work of: Help Student
      • write a sentence about their picture. OR
      • To draw circles representing each item and make them bigger or small depending on the number of items found in book.
  • Meet with Homeroom Teacher (Zoom invitation for 40 minute session) and do
    • MES Center 1 (Pledge & Honor Code)
    • Reading Center 1 (Phonics & Sign Language)
    • Math Center 1 (Calendar & Weather)
    • Review today's work
  • Aide guided work of
    • Drill 1 (10 minutes) of
      • Pledge of Allegiance or Honor Code (if cannot do it by heart;  if can, then work on theme unit poem)
    • Physical Development: Free Play (15 to 20 minutes) unstructured time inside or outside.
    • Reading Center 2 OR Invitation from Teacher for Reading Center 3 via Zoom (20 minutes)
    • Math Center 2 OR Invitation from Teacher for Reading Center 3 via Zoom (20 minutes)
    • Writing Center 2 or Invitation from Teacher for Reading Center 3 via Zoom  (20 minutes)
    • Snack or Lunch (15 minutes) and Free play (40 minutes)
  • Meet with Theme unit Teacher (Zoom invitation for 40 minutes)
    • Theme Unit Center 1
    • Theme Unit Center 2
    • MES Center 2
  • Aide Guided work of
    • Drills 2 (10 minutes) of
      • Phonics & Sign Language (if haven't reached goal of complete whole listing in 20 minutes)
    • Lunch 15 minutes
    • Physical Development: Free Play (outside unless weather conditions are hazardous using balls and gross motor skills, other large muscle use outside, etc.  or creating a new game and playing it with siblings/aide)
  • Meet with Theme unit Teacher (Zoom 3 invitation for 40 minutes)
    • Theme Unit Center 3
    • MES Center, PE Center, Music Center
  • Aide  guided work of
    • Drills 3 (10 minutes)  of
      • Basic math facts from flash cards (goal will be able to do all math facts in any order in 20 minutes)
    • Snack/lunch
    • Free Play (choice not made in above free play between gross motor skills usage and creativity)
  • Meet with Homeroom Teacher (Zoom 4 invitation for 40 minutes)
    • Review of Academics
    • Review of Theme Unit
    • Practice oral memory work/reading from Theme unit
  • Aide Guided work of
    • Drills 4 (10 minutes) of
      • Sight words (goal can read in any order. practice helping student sound letters when appropriate
  • Mountain and Western Time zones
    • Meet with Homeroom Teacher on Progress, Updates or additional lesson(Zoom invitation for 20 minute session) OR
      • Aide guided work of: Read library or other book of  student's choice to them. (20 minute session)
    • Meet with Homeroom Teacher on Progress, Updates or additional lesson(Zoom invitation for 20 minute session) OR
      • Aide guided work of: Help student
