What are the multi-age/grade classes at The Renaissance Preparatory Academy?

There are five classes associated with Renaissance Prep.

The Renaissance Pre-Primary Class is for novice readers through advanced beginner readers and includes ages 5 to 7 (Kindergarten) and very beginning level 1st grade. It covers work through 1st grade. Students may enter at any term but must be at least 5 years old and pass our maturity test.

The Renaissance Primary Class is for Grades 1, 2 & 3.  This is a class for advanced beginner readers through confident readers. Students in the first grade will be assigned to a class based on their reading skill and maturity.

The Renaissance Elementary Class is for Grades 4, 5 & 6. Students need to be reading at a confident level. We expect them to advance to being proficient readers. If a student is not at that level, they may be placed back into the Primary class and then promoted as soon as they display the competency.

The Renaissance Grammar Class is for Grades 7, 8 & 9.  Students will be reading at a proficient level and grow to being expert readers and self-directed learner/researcher.

The Renaissance High School is for Grades 10, 11, & 12. It will be available by request only. These expert readers will move to mastery in content in the areas for advanced placement testing to earn college credit. They are expected to earn credit for multiple different subjects and do multiple service learning projects.

The actual configuration of the class will be dependent upon enrollment.
Classes need at least 7 students to make. Class sizes run from 7 to 15.
Before and After School care require 4 students to make.
Intersession Day Camps require 4 students to make.
