Theme Unit: The Horse

Local Teacher's Aide: Please scroll down to find the centers for each day of the week. If you are not following the AMP schedule, then when helping your student accomplish these tasks remember to insert physical activity or free play time at least after every three centers (but it is okay to do it after each center, your call).

Monday:
Theme Unit Center 1: Read Horse Fact Book to Student
Theme Unit Center 2: Student draws one fact and with help from aide write a sentence about that fact.
Theme Unit Center 3: Finish up Plant theme unit (plant life cycle and parts of plant)


 Tuesday:
Theme Unit Center 1: Read Horse Fact Book to Child
Theme Unit Center 2: Student draws one fact and with help from aide write a sentence about that fact.
Theme Unit Center 3: Student Reads "Do Cowboys Ride Horses?" Provide help if needed.


Wednesday:
Theme Unit Center 1: Read Horse Fact Book to student.
Theme Unit Center 2: Student draws one fact and with help from aide write a sentence about that fact.Wednesday:
Theme Unit Center 3: Student to work on Horse Fact Map.  Encourage independent writing.


Thursday:
Theme Unit Center 1: Read Horse Fact Book to student.
Theme Unit Center 2: Child draws one fact and with help from aide write a sentence about that fact.
Theme Unit Center 3: Student reads "Horses, Horses, Horses".
Theme Unit Center 4: Student does cut and glue worksheet about book, "Horses, Horses, Horses".


Friday:
Theme Unit Center 1: Finish Horse Fact Book (picture of barn on front) if not yet completed.
Theme Unit Center 2: Using handouts and other guides, discuss the anatomy of a horse.
Theme Unit Center 3: Student does Horse craft.
