That concept of what used to be common courtesy is also embedded in our motto under the heading of “HUMANITAS”. Humanitas is a Latin word with a complex meaning. The concept includes elements of civilization (civilized company), courtesy, culture, education, learning, kindness, politeness and scholarship. We view the word as combining chivalry and scholarship! You can see how it stacks up with those “old school manners”.
