We have just moved to the enrolling students stage and have between 5 and 7 spaces for each grade so be sure to reserve your space now! Call the Headmaster, Janice Black at 843-800-0590 to schedule and enrollment appointment. You can also email her through Renaissance.Headmaster@gmail.com for an appointment. Take the opportunity to secure a space for your child or children now, since enrollment is first come first served. Scholarship and discounts available for qualified families (many have criteria other than just need based).

I thought it might be nice to quickly review our journey to starting to date. While we haven’t named each blog or post with its link to a stage, now is the time to connect the two.

Stage 1: Design the School.
We have our curriculum and how we will teach defined. We have a very strong and individualized  curriculum for language arts & math and an integrated but “leveled” curriculum for our theme units begin developed along the way.

Stage 2: Find a location.
This took over two years but NOW WE HAVE OUR LOCATION (The Hall at St. Johns) and our furnishings. Well, Miss Margaret volunteered and is busy working on our picnic tables. We’ll have them in time for our next event celebrating our outdoors classroom which is next Tuesday, July 11 @ 5pm!

Stage 3: Find the Start Up Team.
We began finding the right teachers. Great care is being done in bringing on just the right instructors. of resumes have been examined, information shared with tens of teachers but only a very few met our criteria of strong teaching skills in needed areas, alignment of their teaching philosophy with ours, acceptance of finances and resources to grow with the school, and available and willing to take the risk of starting a new school… i.e. being entrepreneurial!  You met our first teacher, Miss Cheryl, who will be teaching our PrePrimary class. Keep your eyes on our blogs for our next teacher introductions.

Stage 4: ENROLLING STUDENTS!
We are now actively recruiting students for the school. If you want to enroll your child, please contact us. Our PrePrimary and Primary tuition is $700/month. Our Elementary and Grammar tuition is $812.50/month. There are some great discounts provided for some of our company sponsors (and if your firm would like to sponsor this for your employees, feel free to contact us. We welcome more company-based opportunities!) We have some scholarships in the form of direct discounts along with links to specialty scholarships. These discounts either help with the upfront registration and enrollment costs or reduce tuition.
