Safety first!  A pragmatic reason behind school uniforms.

As we begin our recruiting for student enrollment, it is important to point out that some parts of our school are explicitly included to help support the safety of our students. For example, the only unlocked door on the building is the front lobby door and the lobby will be staffed with a volunteer receptionist (parent and grandparent volunteers are welcome!).

Another example is that of the student uniform. The first reason for the uniform is that of safety. We can spot our students at a glance! Check out more about our uniforms on our page: http://www.renaissanceprepmb.org/uniform.html.
The girl’s required uniform has a great little pleated scooter skirt with a big buckle. It is worn with a blouse with a Peter Pan collar and a cross tie in the school plaid. As an option, girls may wear a polo shirt with the school’s shield with either pants, shorts, or a plaid jumper (K-3rd) or skirt (4th – 9th).

The boy’s required uniform has grey pants with a white Oxford shirt and a tie in the school plaid. As an option, boys may wear a polo shirt with the school’s shield that is paired with either pants or shorts.

We also have colors associated with our school beyond the school plaid and the grey and white… Our PrePrimary and Primary classes can wear yellow
polos and our Elementary and Grammar classes can wear
royal blue polos. All school polos whether white or colored must be embroidered with the school’s shield.

I posted a picture of the embroidered shield on the school facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/RPALions/. Check it out, like our page, and follow us!
